Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Vently is an AI-powered active listening platform designed for busy professionals. The service provides AI personas tailored to various industries that engage in supportive, non-judgmental conversations. Vently is not a mental health service, therapy replacement, or crisis intervention tool.

2. Acceptable Use

By using Vently, you agree to:

• Use the service for personal stress relief and decompression only.
• Not use the service to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the AI systems.
• Not share account credentials with others.
• Not use the service if you are under 18 years of age.

3. Credits & Billing

Vently operates on a credit-based system. Text exchanges cost 1 credit and voice exchanges cost 6 credits. Credits are allocated monthly based on your subscription tier and do not roll over between billing cycles. Subscription fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable for the current billing period. You may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

4. Privacy & Data

Your use of Vently is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described therein. Conversation data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You may delete your data at any time through your account settings.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Vently. By using the service, you grant Vently a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. In Incognito Mode, conversation data is not stored after the session ends.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Disclaimers

Vently is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Vently is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline. AI responses are generated algorithmically and may not always be accurate or appropriate. We are not liable for any decisions made based on AI interactions.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Vently after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
